Dr . V . Madhusudhana Rao    M.Tech. , Ph.D. born on 1st September 1959. He took B.Sc Degree from Osmania University, M.Sc (Chemistry) Degree from Banaras Hindu University. Later he pursued M. Tech Materials Technology from Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University. He obtained Ph.D in the field of Chemical Reaction Engineering from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University. He has completed AMIE (Chemical) from Institute of Engineers, Calcutta.

Dr. V.M.Rao has started his career from the Center of Advanced Studies in Materials Science– I.I.T – Madras in the year 1987. He later shifted to K.L. College of Engineering as Asst Professor in the year 1988. He became Associate Professor in the year 1994. He has since then shifted to Vignan’s Engineering College in the year 1998 and served as an Associate Professor before going on to become Professor in the year 2001. Before he taking over as the Director of VLITS, he has been a Professor & Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering at Vignan’s Engineering College till September 2007.

Dr. V.M.Rao has published as well as presented more than 22 research papers in International Journals, National Journals and International Conferences. He has bagged The best teacher award twice during his teaching career at the Vignan’s Engineering College.

Dr. V.M.Rao was the member of Board of Studies (Chemical Engineering) JNTU - Anathapur, Board of Studies (Engineering) Nagarjuna University. He is also member of Panel of Examiners - Vellore Deemed University. He is a life member of Royal Society of Chemical Sciences-London, Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers - Kolkata and IEEE.
