I am very happy to welcome you to the Department of Civil Engineering,Vignan’s Lara Institute of Technology and Science (VLITS) Vadlamudi, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh, India. Civil Engineering is one of the oldest engineering discipline. It has commitment to serve humans for providing solutions in the areas of water, shelter and other infrastructure needs. It deals with the design, construction and maintenance of works like buildings, roads, water supply and treatment systems, dams & canal systems. There are many career options like designers, site engineers, entrepreneurs in the both public and private sectors nationally and globally.

The Department is offering UG program B.Tech in Civil Engineering with an intake of 60. Our department is committed to provide students with a fundamental knowledge with well-defined build-up space, laboratories and staff. The department is supported by experienced faculty with a rich and varied teaching and research exposure.

The Department aims to train students by imparting them latest knowledge in the fields of Civil Engineering and other allied areas. Innovative Teaching- Learning practices can enrich students in the Civil Engineering knowledge.  Along with curriculum, the students are encouraged to participate in various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.  The student association regularly conducts technical, cultural and literary competitions. Here, we are having the best faculty- student mentorship, which can help students to overcome difficulties in academics, career guidance. The students will be given a special training for the preparation as well as guidance for the competitive exams like GATE, UPSC-ESE, APPSC, RRB, SSC...etc.,
