Mechanical Engineering is one of the evergreen oldest premier courses in Engineering. In the Hellenistic period (323–146 BC), Greek civilization was at its zenith. The Greek mechanical engineer or mechanomai used to apply the principles of science and art in various mechanical gadgets. The role of mechanical engineer is to satisfy the needs of people in universe in various sectors.

The inception of B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering was taken place in the year 2010 with the approved intake of 60 by AICTE and affiliated to J N T U Kakinada, Kakinada.
